This is a curated view of 68 records from the original emperor dataset, not a complete register of every Roman ruler. Colored bars show its broad accession groups; “dynastic” includes some adopted heirs. Small dots mark reigns too short to form a visible bar at the current scale.
Ancient accounts conflict, and some source dates are estimates. We corrected several names and conspicuous outcome labels, and flag disputed cases in the ruler details. The original CSV’s dynasty labels also cover unrelated rulers, so this page uses chronological period groups while preserving those labels in the download. Other source classifications remain simplified; use the linked material to investigate a claim further.
